Each October, the Kelowna branch of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada hosts a red dress gala. The event raises funds and awareness to help the 1 million Canadians impacted by a cardiac event or stroke.
This year, 17 members of the Okanagan heart and stroke community participated in a fashion show. While being serenaded by singer Anna Jacyszyn. The MC for the evening was radio personality Karly Fiddes. The gala began with an inspiration speech by stroke survival Jennifer Monaghan and her husband, Bob.
The red dress gala ended with an auction followed by dancing.
This year’s event was held at the Mateo Resort and was presented by Harmony Acura.
